Jeremy Hutson and Solanco Guitar Studios offers no warranties or guarantees as to the success or progress of any individual student, as it is based on numerous factors many of which are out of the instructor's control. Learning guitar is meant to be fun, but requires a level of dedication and effort. All students must practice regularly and consistently to see results. Please view our lesson guidelines for more information.
Some styles and intermediate to advanced levels will require a book or books. All students are encouraged to use method books, as they promote consistency in the lessons. Method books, although they require a small cost, save money in the long run by preventing the teacher from wasting your lesson time writing everything down. Please visit the links page for a listing of some recommended books.
Open times are available on a first come, first serve basis, and will not be held without payment. All slots are 30 minutes and are subject to the guidelines posted on this page.
Most lessons will last for approximately 28 minutes (approximately 1 minute to set up, and 1 minute to pack up) out of the 30 minute booked time slot. The time it takes to tune, etc., and/or perform maintenance or repairs are included in your 30 minute time slot. Minor paperwork will be completed and handed out during the first lesson and then during the last scheduled lesson of each month.
All students are required to pay on time in order to reserve their time slot. If tuition is not received on time, the instructor reserves the right to charge a late fee as noted in the policy, or to drop non-paying or consistently late students. This will be upheld with a no tolerance policy. Serious students will understand the necessity of this stipulation and will follow the studio policies.
Parents are encouraged to stay in the waiting area to watch and listen. For younger children, parental guidance may be required. Parental input is welcome, and input and open communication from both parents and/or the students is helpful for the instructor in order to better serve both students and parents.
Please note: Mr. Hutson is not trained, certified, or equipped to teach those with disabilities.
The door to the main teaching area will always be left open for safety.
Communication with parents is to take place during the paid time slot to be fair to the other students and to be courteous of the the instructor's time.
The studio is protected by a security system during off hours.
Privacy policy
All information collected is for the sake of contact and billing, and will not be sold or given out to a third party.
